Sion is a remarkable, skilled & passionate musician, with whom I have collaborated on multiple occasions. He has performed a variety of music with me and what particularly strikes me is his own compositions for flute & guitar that I have had the unique honour to be able to explore and premiere with him.

Simon is always committed, excited and authentic to give performers of his music the best possible performance by way of imparting his generous spirit and experiences that inspire his ouevre.

As a guitarist I have always been impressed by his imaginative sound, which projects well, and is capable of an enormous dynamic & tone colour range.
He has a secure command of an extensive armoury of extended techniques – for example, the production of harmonics, percussive effects, & microtonal tunings.

In rehearsal with other musicians he responds calmly and decisively in a an open and positive manner ensure the collaborative production of an excellent performance.

He works very well with other musicians, and gives clear, unambiguous and direct instructions when conducting and producing in the recording studio.
Simon is a pleasure to work with as a fellow musician, always accomodating interprations of his composition whilst allowing space for an organic understanding of the performer to realise his work whilst always communicating in honest and amiable terms his understanding and feeling of music.
