About Maija
I received my Masters Degree in Academic Singing and Early Music Singing from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Music Academy in Riga. I also studied singing at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. In Latvia I worked as a soloist on the concerts and projects of the baroque orchestra Collegium Musicum Riga. I also took part in early music festivals in Latvia, Scandinavian countries and Poland. Worked as a guest singer at the Cracow Opera. Since 2011 I have been working as an invited teacher for early music with the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga. I have been working as a concert singer in Germany and Italy since 2013. My repertoire includes different genres: operetta, opera, chamber music, early music and jazz music.

No matter if beginner, advanced or professional, the basis of every successful singer is a good singing technique. Regular voice training gives your voice strength and stamina. My lessons are based on: - breathing technique - vocal flexibility - improvement of intonation - diction and articulation Children (from 6 years), adolescents, adults and seniors. One lesson lasts 30/45/60 minutes.
