About Octaviani
Hello! Music has been a huge part of my life since I was young, and teaching it has always felt like more than just a job to me. I trained formally at Yayasan Pendidikan Musik Jakarta in Indonesia, reaching Pra-Conservatory Grade 3, and for 10 years (2013–2023) I had the joy of teaching piano privately, especially to children aged 4 to 10. There's something so rewarding about watching a young student go from not knowing where middle C is to confidently playing their first little piece — those moments are what I love most about teaching.
When I moved to Singapore for work, I had to pause that journey, and I've missed it more than I expected. Music and teaching kids have always brought me a lot of happiness, and I'm ready to pick that up again by offering part-time piano lessons here.
My specialty is classical piano, and I'm known for being patient and encouraging, especially with younger learners who need extra time and gentle guidance to build confidence. Whether your child is just starting out or already has some experience, I'll create a warm, structured environment where they can learn at their own pace and genuinely enjoy the process of making music.

Learn classical piano with a patient, experienced teacher based in Singapore, welcoming students from complete beginners to intermediate level — both children and adults.
I trained formally at Yayasan Pendidikan Musik Jakarta (Indonesia) reaching Pra-Conservatory Grade 3, a rigorous classical music program. From 2013 to 2023, I taught piano privately for 10 years in Indonesia before relocating to Singapore for work. I'm now offering part-time piano lessons here.
My teaching approach:
1) Correct technique and posture from the first lesson
2) Reading music and understanding theory alongside playing
3) Building a strong classical foundation through scales, arpeggios and repertoire
4) Patient, structured guidance tailored to each student's pace and goals
