About Matthieu
Joined the Cahors Echecs club from when I was 9 to 16, I acquired a solid base of knowledge in the discipline which allowed me to reach an Elo of more than 1800 in fast game and more than 1600 in slow party. I was also several times champion of my department in the youth categories. Currently in engineering school at the central school of Lille, I still practice chess as a hobby.

My courses are aimed at beginner to intermediate level students, and are based on basic notions of chess up to the theory of openings. Each of the courses is based on a specific theme (tactical tools, particular openings, etc.) which is illustrated through examples and exercises. For players who are already in a club, I can also analyze the official games played in order to detect flaws and allow the student to improve his game. Regarding the course support, this will be done via a real or wall board for them. face-to-face lessons. For distance learning, we can use chess.com or other software according to the possibilities of the student.

Matthieu est un excellent prof, calme et possédant une grande culture mathématiques, il sait parfaitement expliquer les points et arguments essentiels d'un cours de niveau post bac, et sélectionne des exercices très intéressant .
Prof compétent avec qui je me suis bien entendu tout de suite. Je comprend assez lentement les mathématiques mais matthieu a su être patient et pédagogue je n'ai plus de lacune sur le sujet. Je recommande !
