About Eileen

Hi! I’m a math student at the University of Chicago, and I’ve been tutoring students for years in a variety of subjects, including SAT prep, writing, and essay editing. Through my own college application journey, I’ve also spent years studying the admissions process and understanding what makes applications stand out.

I was accepted to the University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, and other top universities, and was also waitlisted at schools like UPenn and UCLA. I’ve helped students improve their writing, develop stronger essays, and present their experiences in a more meaningful way.

My goal is to make the college process less overwhelming by helping students find their strengths, tell their stories clearly, and approach applications with confidence.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a math student at the University of Chicago, and I’ve spent years learning about the college admissions process. I was accepted to UChicago, UC Berkeley, and other universities, and I’ve helped other students with their applications.

I can help with:

* SAT prep and study strategies
* College essays and personal statements
* Supplemental essays
* Extracurricular planning
* Building an overall application strategy

After going through the process myself and helping others, I understand what makes an application stand out and how to present your experiences in the best way. I’ll help you figure out your strengths, develop your story, and avoid common mistakes applicants make.

Whether you’re just getting started or need another set of eyes on your essays, I’d be happy to help.

I know Eileen from high school and she appeared like an angel during my time of distress. We were doing debate club together and that’s when I mentioned to her that I was struggling in studying for the SAT and that I really needed a good score. She started giving me tips and tricks to score well and also handed me study material that I would have never known existed before. Whenever I struggled, she would sit down and explain everything to me without any doubt left behind. She teaches in a way that isn’t condescending, which is a problem with many tutors, and she has a lot of patience with those who don’t clearly understand the material. Ive tried plenty of other tutors before, and I can confidently say that she is one of the best out there. She motivated me enough that I scored a 1500+ and I’ve never been more proud of myself. I couldn’t have done it without her. She’s truly an amazing person and she’s incredibly smart, kind, and well grounded in applicable teaching methods. Thank you so much Eileen!!!
