About Alisha
Hello! I graduated from Emory University in 2018 where I majored in Media Studies and Sociology while tutoring on the side and helping out in classrooms in local schools. After graduation, I did Teach For America, and was the head teacher for a Special Ed. self-contained bridged class for students grades 3-5. I currently have a successful career in Media but still enjoy working with children and helping them further their studies.

I like to start by getting to know the student and their learning style along with talking to the parent about their goals. I then like to go over what they are currently studying in school as well as what they enjoy outside of school (i.e. dance, soccer, comics) so I can tailor my teaching to them and make it as enjoyable as possible! I believe learning is most effective when it can be enjoyed. From there, we can figure out the best path to success - perhaps it's reading a few pages together and going through main plot points or learning how to write an essay with proper structure. I'm here to help!
