About Renae
I’m currently teaching at a college, but I’ve taught all ages from preschool through adults. I love teaching, no matter what the subject matter or the age of the student. I’ve taught preschool classes on a farm, tutored high school students in the SAT, taught 7th grade English and Math in a private school, assisted in elementary classrooms in Montessori Schools, taught GED courses for students as young as 15 all the way through students in their 60s, and have even been a summer camp director for 7 years! I say all this to say that I get along well with most people, I am very patient and kind, and I genuinely enjoy teaching and learning. I’m happy to help you in your educational journey!

I currently teach English 101 for college freshman, but also have 10 years experience teaching all subjects for GED test preparation. This means I have experience with teaching math through Algebra, science and social studies through about grade 9 or 10, and reading/writing through entry level of college. I also have experience teaching SAT prep, and direct classroom experience with grades K-8, as well as college freshmen and adults in continuing education. I live in NY and have some experience with tutoring for the Regents Exams as well.
