About Emprisse
My name is Emprisse M. Walker, and I am a senior Psychology major with a minor in Criminal Justice. I have experience in academic research, professional writing, and public speaking, including recently presenting research at our State Capitol in Tallahassee. Through my coursework and leadership roles, I have developed strong communication, organization, and mentorship skills. I am committed to helping students strengthen their writing, critical thinking, and speaking abilities in a structured, patient, and encouraging environment.

I met Emprisse my freshman year of college. She was a year above me and a mentor at work. When she left IRSC to go to FAU, she had to teach me everything that she did for her position that I was taking over. She was mostly teaching me how to use Canva throughout the rest of her time working with me. She created a presentation with over 50 slides that she went over in detail, along with giving a first-time experience on how to create in Canva. The overall shared experience with her has made me appreciate her not just as a friend, but as a mentor and someone that I could look up to.

Details
Rates & Travel Policy
Individual tutoring sessions begin at $19 per hour. I offer discounted packages for students who prefer consistent sessions: a 5-hour package is $85, and a 10-hour package is $175.
Travel fees are structured as follows: there is no additional fee for locations within 5 miles; a $10 fee applies for locations 5–10 miles away; and a $20 fee applies for locations 10–20 miles away. Locations beyond 20 miles may require an adjusted rate. Travel fees may be waived for nearby locations at my discretion.
I understand what it feels like to balance finances while funding your education. I am willing to negotiate pricing based on individual need—please never hesitate to ask. The worst I can say is that I am unable to accommodate a specific request. The first 30 minutes of your initial 2-hour minimum session is complimentary.
