About Ellie
I have worked with kids ranging in age for almost a decade now. I am prepared, enthusiastic and skilled when it comes to teaching across all grades, and I am ready to help any student forge ahead through the rocky waters of academic writing. Writing can be an incredibly intimidating process for many students. Whether it's a personal essay, a history thesis or a timed test, that first prompt can leave your brain feeling like mush. I am here to charge ahead and break down those seemingly tough walls into something that you can absolutely accomplish time and time again. All it takes is knowing the steps.

Hi there! I am excited to work for you as you or your child's new writing tutor.
As a high school graduate with AP experience across Language, Literature, and World History, I have gone through the tedious practices of brainstorming, essay-writing, test writing and beyond. I have continued to write into college, now working as a senior Media Arts major at Emerson College. Writing is my passion.
My lessons will focus on the breakdown of outlining, critical thinking and simplifying the process as a whole. I know firsthand how intimidating writing can be from middle to high school.
My lesson plans will be composed of clarifying learning objectives, simplifying new material, and reviewing what work the student is currently facing. I offer lessons for elementary, middle, and early high school, focusing primarily in literature analysis, creative writing, and history.
I can't wait to work together!
