About Andrea
Hi, my name is Andrea! I am a college student studying Health Science. I have always loved reading and it taught me how to connect ideas and form a bigger picture. I have learned spelling, phonics, grammar, writing, and reading skills that have helped me succeed throughout middle and high school and now in college. I have practiced by writing short stories, essays, and responses, skills that are practiced constantly in college and real life. I'm here to help! You've got these skills already, I'm just here to guide and practice, building your confidence to succeed!

Method and Teaching
Phonics: Practice sounds, symbols, and letters. Start with short words using rhyming and syllables, moving progressively.
Spelling: Using phonics, word patterns, and practice methods to build knowledge and recognize vocabulary.
Writing: Break down the process, including planning and brainstorming, drafting, sharing, revising, and editing. Combine spelling, grammar and punctuation, and handwriting moving towards building voice.
Reading: Building reading comprehension by asking prior knowledge, annotating, chunking and summarizing, visualizing, and questioning.
My goal is to assist in building knowledge and confidence in English while equipping you with the skills needed to succeed.
