About Mark
I'm a freshman at New York University studying Neuroscience, but in my free time I play and compose a wide variety of music. I have been taking lessons in classical piano regularly since I was 4, however I have also played piano for my middle and high school's advanced jazz combos. I also really enjoy improvising and composing and recording music that range from hip-hop, pop, rnb, and alternative.

I believe that success presents itself most in a curriculum specified around the student's interests and desires. By analyzing the music theory that provides the technique, emotion, 'feeling' in
the songs that the student enjoys, I believe learning to play any piece is possible. I will focus not only on the technique that allows for the development of 'proper' playing and the dexterity required for more advanced pieces, but more importantly learning how to develop and incorporate the student's personality into the pieces they are playing.
