About Daniel
I have been working one-on-one with writing students since 2017 and am passionate about helping students improve as writers, while discovering their own creative voice. I have my Master’s in English and have been a college writing instructor at two different universities.
Rather than tell students what to do without explanation, I prioritize explaining the process and reasoning behind writing choices, and empower students to develop skills that they can use outside of my lessons.
I am enthusiastic about what I do, and make sure that my appointments are professional, efficient, and overall positive learning experiences.
Writing can be very vulnerable, and I am sensitive to that as I help students navigate each step of the writing process.

I take a conversational approach to my writing lessons. I like to get to know my students and their concerns, then develop a lesson plan together. I have experience teaching students from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences, and will tailor lessons to meet students’ learning needs.
I have been a university course instructor and writing tutor for college essays, so my lessons are designed for students working on college-level writing. I also can assist with college application essays, work for Advanced Placement (AP) or similar-level courses, or for real-world writing pieces like resumes, cover letters, and creative writing.
