About Mackenna
I have used writing as a coping mechanism ever since I was a little kid; it has always been my escape. When I was younger, I did more creative writing, but in high school, I began pursuing a career in journalism! I was the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper (Girls Academic Leadership Academy), and graduated from The School of the New York Times when I was 16! I am now a communications major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo! I also have ADHD, which means if anyone understands difficulties with learning, it’s me!

If anyone understands feeling “behind”, it’s me. I have pretty bad ADHD, and if I could do it, you absolutely can. Sometimes it takes longer for some than for others, and that is OKAY!! Be patient with yourself, have faith, ask for help, and use your resources! Everyone needs support. Everyone!
