About Ayla
I have 8 years of experience teaching ESL to high school and college students, having successfully taught 150–200 learners. My teaching philosophy focuses on making lessons clear, engaging, and personalised. I design lessons that balance reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while encouraging students to actively participate and practise.
I use real-life examples, interactive exercises, and discussions to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. Many of my students have gained confidence, improved academically, and developed strong communication skills. My ESL teaching methodology is based on creativity, mentorship, and critical thinking. I believe learning English should be interactive, practical, and enjoyable. I use activities like storytelling, role-plays, and discussions to help students practise real-life English and communicate confidently.
As a mentor, I provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping students build confidence and overcome challenges. Accountability is a key part of my approach, so students track their progress and take responsibility for their learning.
Critical thinking is central to my lessons. I encourage students to analyse texts, ask questions, and express their ideas clearly, strengthening both language and reasoning skills.
Besides ESL, I also teach related subjects such as grammar, vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension. Lessons are flexible, personalised, and adapted to each student’s learning style.
I aim to create a friendly, supportive, and motivating environment, where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and grow as independent English learners.
