About Ivy
Hi! I’m a DMA-trained singing tutor with 7+ years of experience. I specialize in adult beginners, hobbyists, and singers returning after a break. My lessons are ideal for singing in choirs, karaoke, or casual social settings. I focus on building confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment.
We work on breathwork, posture, vocal relaxation, and mindfulness in music. Tone, style, and expressive singing are also emphasized. I teach Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. Singing can be a joyful, creative, and confidence-building practice.
Lessons are personalized to your pace and goals. No previous experience is necessary. I’m passionate about helping students enjoy their voices. Let’s explore singing together, for fun and self-expression!

My teaching method focuses on sustainable vocal technique and long-term vocal health. I teach breath support, posture, and stamina-building exercises to help singers perform safely. Lessons include managing fatigue and pre/post-performance care.
Soloists in training and church ensemble singers are guided to protect their voices while navigating demanding schedules. Tone, musical expression, and dynamics are emphasized in every lesson. I also teach mindful practice, hydration, and recovery strategies.
Repertoire, ensemble blending, and sight-reading are incorporated for full musical development. The goal is to preserve the voice and support a long, confident singing career.
