About Jillian
My name is Jillian Calamia, I have been a competitive dancer for almost 16 years. I have played Clara in my schools rendition of the Nutcracker, as well as received many scholarships and awards throughout my dance career. I began to teach ballet and jazz to young students at age 14, and have continued to do that through my high school career. I was a private instructor for a season, focusing on acrobatics and strength training. I was also the captain of my school’s dance team and choreographed over 12 dances in my time there.

Strength and technique are the foundations of your dance abilities. When you add strength to your flexibility, as well as technique, it allows you to fully enable your dance abilities. I have been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and acrobatics for over 16 years. My choreography focuses on movement and artistry in order to tell a story behind your dance- because every dance should show the passion behind the dancer!
