About Yasser
Well hello! I'm Yasser and I've been playing guitar since 2017. Ever since I touched the instrument, the passion kicked in and it never left. I've never gotten myself a teacher or a class because I felt most teachers rely on basic scales and theory to muster up skill, which I feel isn't necessary. I have several achievements as a guitarist that include 1) being second and third in major college guitar competitions (instrumental, western, self-composed) 2) being selected for the all Assam state music competition based on HIV awareness (I composed a song with guitar which got selected and hence I performed in the competition) 3) I achieved 2nd position in a major international sponsored guitar competition where I played my own original solo

I don't dwell into music theory and scales that much which serves as a basic methodology for guitar playing. Instead knowing scales and theory I put importance into feeling, creativity and ear listening, for me that's the approach of how guitar mechanism works.
