About Lachlan
My name is Lachlan or Lachie. Whichever you prefer. I have lived in Melbourne for 6 years, moving away from my country upbringing to study at university. I began studying for a bachelor of primary education in 2017 and moved to a bachelor of secondary education in 2019. I did this because I am passionate about teaching History and English, and other subjects such as politics and international relations. Especially, to those who are just as passionate about these subjects. I am confident in my teaching abilities and I believe that I can instill this confidence in students who want to do their best at learning. It is my aim to make learning an exciting experience for all people, regardless of their background.

My lessons are student-centered. Meaning, that the lessons will be appropriately tailored to meet the goals set out by the individual in question. The length of lessons will vary depending on the student, but no more than 2 hours (breaks included). These hours have been implemented to maximise student progression throughout their learning periods. I do have experience in one-on-one tutoring. In 2020 I was tasked to work with students who fell behind during the prolonged lockdowns. I also have placement experience where I have taught lessons independently. My lessons will be tailored for students aged from year level three, up to year eleven.
