About Ivy
My journey into Computer Programming began when I discovered how powerful it felt to solve problems using logical instructions and structured thinking. This passion led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science followed by a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, where I explored both theoretical foundations and real-world software development practices. Over 12 years of teaching, I have guided students from complete beginners to confident programmers through clear explanation and steady encouragement.
I believe effective programming education requires patience and adaptability. Many learners feel intimidated by code at first, so I focus on creating a supportive environment where mistakes are welcomed as part of learning. I take time to understand each student’s learning style, adjusting explanations and examples to ensure concepts feel accessible and meaningful rather than overwhelming.
Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged with programming through personal projects, technology research, and continuous skill development. These experiences allow me to keep lessons current and relevant. Teaching programming is deeply fulfilling because I witness students transform confusion into confidence, realizing they can think logically and build solutions independently.

Computer Programming becomes far less intimidating when learners understand how simple logical steps gradually combine to create meaningful and functional solutions. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in programming logic, algorithms, data structures, and structured thinking using languages such as Python and Java. I guide students to understand how code flows, how problems are broken into smaller tasks, and how logic translates into working programs. Lessons are paced calmly to ensure clarity, confidence, and steady progress.
Lesson structure is carefully adapted to each learner’s experience level. Beginners focus on variables, conditions, loops, functions, and basic program flow with patient guidance and clear examples. Intermediate learners develop stronger skills in modular programming, object-oriented concepts, debugging, and algorithmic thinking. Advanced learners focus on optimization, data structures, project design, APIs, and preparation for exams or technical interviews. Every lesson includes guided practice, explanation refinement, and real-world coding scenarios.
Programming lessons also help learners develop transferable skills such as persistence, logical reasoning, and structured problem solving. Students learn to approach challenges step by step rather than feeling overwhelmed. Many gain confidence as they see their ideas transformed into functioning programs.
