I like to follow a project-first approach that helps accelerate your learning in a flexible way which encourages learning through multiple sources and experimentation:
- We're not going to follow a single book or a syllabus, we're going to build projects that are interesting and engaging.
- We're not going to discourage mistakes: Mistakes are essential, they help you to learn and improve.
- We're not going to stay 'on topic': Doubts can arise anywhere and might not even share context with the current topic, but discussing them when they arise helps foster better understanding and creates opportunities for inter-relation and inference between the doubt and current or future topics of discussion.
- The lessons are going to interesting and highly scoped: we're going to have a primary agenda like: "Inheritence in Object Oriented Programming", and the lecture would revolve around illustrations of the concept, code examples, practical application in a mini-project along with a contextual explanation of real-world significance.
- The lessons are ideally designed for aspiring programmers that want to learn software development but were having issues while trying to learn a language like C, Java or Python through traditional sources.
