About Jonathan
I am a hardworking and gifted student who has always loved learning, particularly so that I can share my knowledge and understanding with others.
At school, I was always the one to ask if you didn’t know something. In fact during study leave for my A-levels, I’d regularly have people coming to find me in the library, or texting me to ask about past paper questions.
Over the course of sixth form, a couple of my friends even started doing their maths homework at school, so that they could ask me about it if they were unsure.
I love sharing what I know and over the years, I’ve become very good at judging how best to help. It’s rarely a good idea to just give out answers, usually with a little bit of guidance, my students answer their own questions.
My goal is always to nurture people to provide themselves with that guidance to solve their own problems. I good tutor is one who eventually makes themself redundant, because the student can do it all by themself.

I am currently doing an undergraduate degree in computer science and maths at the university of Edinburgh
I have A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry at A-level and an A in computer science
Experience:
I acted as a student/tutor at the highly prestigious national maths summer school, hosted by UKMT, guiding the younger students through the maths
Awards:
I have received a distinction in the British Mathematics Olympiad 1 and a gold award in the British Chemistry Olympiad
