About Anjali
My Mission: I believe in providing students with hard skills that gives them the self-confidence to pursue whatever subject they are passionate about. I like to make hard subjects approachable and easy to understand by breaking down complex problems into small, easy-to-understand steps. My Qualifications: I have industry experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Intel and AI startups. This helps me stay in touch with the industry and keep my teaching content up-to-date and relevant. In high school, I got a 35/36 on my ACT and got all A's in 8 AP courses in high school. I've always been an ambitious student who loves learning, so I'd like to show my students the simple recipe to success that I learned. My Teaching Experience: I've been tutoring since early high school and have always had a love for teaching. I got promoted from the youngest Teaching Assistant to Teaching Fellow in my junior year of college, so I have experience teaching all ages, and have taught others how to teach as well. I find teaching incredibly fulfilling because I get to remove the intimidation of hard subjects and instill confidence in my students to tackle new problems.

I make programming and math, two daunting subjects, approachable and easy to understand. I've worked as a Teaching Fellow for the hardest programming class at Tufts for 3 years, and my students always come out of our session confident to be a CS major and go into the industry.
I use visuals to draw out concepts and use strategies such as students reexplaining concepts back to me, connecting old and new concepts together, and students completing examples I start for them to demonstrate understanding and retention of concepts.
I give constructive feedback on what to improve on while giving them confidence to tackle the hard problems, because the confidence is what will inspire them to pursue such fields later on.
