About Evie
My name is Evie. I am a recent BSc Computer Science graduate and I've been tutoring GCSE for a few years now. My favourite language is Python. I've done a fair few university projects using Python and I find it to be a fun language to teach students too because it is intuitive and accessible to a coding newbie.

I teach Computer Science lessons to learners between 11 and 16, and sometimes A level although my focus is GCSE age. I have tutored part time for around 5 years now, and have had an interest in education for a while. This interest has led me to develop lots of (I believe) high-quality GCSE resources which I can't wait to show you! My sessions are generally an hour long but I'm happy to discuss your needs and I've found that near exam time, sessions tend to be extended which I am very happy to do. As a (fairly rare!) female Computer Science tutor, I particularly enjoy working with female students and encouraging them in this male-dominated field. I've loved tutoring and seeing students achieve great grades at GCSE but for me the grades aren't the thing that makes tutoring feel worthwhile. The best part of tutoring for me is seeing a student go from struggling or not having an interest in Computer Science, to really wanting to get stuck into extra project work and tasks I give them. I look forward to hearing from you!
