About Fisah
I have a background in Computer Science and professional experience in the IT banking industry, where I developed strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving. After relocating to Kota Bharu, I found limited opportunities in the IT field, which led me to explore tutoring as a new direction.
What began as a practical transition gradually became something I genuinely enjoy. Teaching turned out to be a natural fit for me. The process of explaining complex ideas in a simple way, guiding students step by step, and seeing them finally understand a concept is highly rewarding.
During my school years, I was an MRSM student and consistently performed well academically. I was also appointed by teachers as a subject mentor, where I helped guide and support other students in their learning. These experiences shaped my ability to break down difficult topics into clearer, more understandable parts.
Today, I continue tutoring with the same approach. My focus is not only on helping students understand their subjects more deeply, but also on helping them apply what they learn to real-life situations. I believe true learning happens when students can connect knowledge to context, not just memorize it for exams.

My tutoring approach is built like a structured “debugging process” for learning. Instead of focusing on memorization alone, I guide students to understand how and why answers work so they can solve problems independently and confidently.
For Mathematics, Science, and Algebra, I break concepts into clear, logical steps and build understanding from the ground up. I use simple analogies, structured examples, and step-by-step guided practice to remove confusion at the root. When needed, I switch explanations from different angles until the concept clicks properly. For Malay, I take a more flexible and language-immersive approach focusing on comprehension, sentence structure, writing skills, and practical usage in both exams and real-life communication.
A typical lesson lasts around 50 minutes to 1 hour. Each session usually includes concept explanation, guided practice, and independent exercises to reinforce understanding without overwhelming the student. For more challenging topics, I include quick review cycles and targeted drills to strengthen weak areas efficiently.
In terms of background, I hold a Degree in Computer Science and have professional working experience in IT banking, which naturally shapes my teaching style into something analytical, structured, and problem-solving oriented. I also have around half a year of experience as a private tutor, teaching both in-person (Kota Bharu) and online sessions, which has helped me adapt quickly to different student learning speeds and needs.
My lessons are suitable for primary school and lower secondary students for Mathematics, Science, and Algebra. For Malay language, I teach all age groups, including expatriates. Lessons are tailored from beginner to advanced level, focusing on practical communication, grammar, reading, writing, and exam preparation depending on the learner’s needs.
