Hello, my name is Asiman! I am an advanced, active competitive chess player with an online ELO of approximately 2200. With a heavy academic background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from KAIST, I approach chess not just as a game of rote memorization, but as an exercise in logic, pattern recognition, and algorithm-like calculation. I am fully fluent in English, Azerbaijani, and Turkish, allowing me to clearly communicate complex ideas to a diverse range of students. My Teaching Method and Techniques:My teaching philosophy centers on "practical play" and algorithmic thinking. Memorizing 15 moves of deep opening theory is useless if you don't understand the underlying middle-game plans. Instead, I focus on:Algorithmic Calculation: I will teach you how to systematically scan the board for checks, captures, and threats on every single move so you permanently stop dropping pieces.Post-Game Autopsies: We learn best from our failures. I place a massive emphasis on analyzing your actual games rather than just looking at famous grandmaster matches.Technology Integration: I utilize modern chess software and interactive digital study boards to instantly render positions and make our sessions highly visual and engaging.A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes):Warm-Up (10 mins): We start by solving 3-5 curated tactical puzzles tailored specifically to mistakes you made in your previous games.Deep-Dive Game Analysis (25 mins): The core of our lesson. We will dissect your recent games. I won't just tell you the right move; I will guide your thought process so you find it yourself.Concept Focus (15 mins): We will isolate and explore a specific theme—such as exploiting a weak pawn structure, understanding an opening trap, or mastering a fundamental endgame technique.Practical Application & Homework (10 mins): We will play a quick training game from a specific position, and I will assign targeted puzzles to reinforce the day's lesson.
