Throughout high school, I have volunteered as a peer tutor in the maths and sciences, providing me with helpful experience in dealing with the struggles of high school academia.

My method of teaching is to help students understand how to break problems down into smaller easy to manage tasks. All while providing them with the essential tools they need to combat those pesky thinking problems.
Before the scheduled lesson a short summary of the students' issues in the subject is always beneficial, as it would allow me to better personalize the lesson.
A typical class would consist of a run through of the key concepts of the subject of the lesson, followed by one or two tutorials. The lesson would then end off in several practice problems and any student questions and concerns.
