About Roan
Having worked as a tutor before I have experience and know what a student needs to succeed. I find teaching rewarding and have regularly worked with kids before from at the Museum I used to work at to volunteering as a leader at my local scout group.
I am currently taking a break from my degree I have more time, so I want to give a bit back, I think good teachers can influence a student's choice of career and their interests and I hope to do this in a positive manner.

Lessons will be an hour-long and held on Zoom, with half an hour to an hour of work to do outside of lessons. They will be focused on areas that the student struggles in, with regular tests to assess progress. The lessons can also back up content learned in school. The lessons are intended for anyone studying GCSE or A-Level computer science and can supplement a high-performing student or help a struggling student achieve a better grade.
I have tutored GCSE maths and science before for over a year as well as worked at a museum as a "Science Explainer" for over 3 years. I have completed both GCSE and A-Level Computer science, achieving an A* in both, so I understand the specification and requirements of the exam board.
Through being at university and spending a long time completing personal coding projects I am familiar with most coding languages, the main ones being: Java, Python, C++, Javascript, PHP, SQL, and a few more.
