About Vedran
Coming from a strong musical background, I understood and felt music better than I could do anything else growing up. Although my interests were very broad, it was discipline and serious approach which helped me gain results and international success, including getting a full scholarship and obtaining the Advanced Diploma in Piano performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and debuting in the iconic Wigmore Hall. Nevertheless, whether you want to embark on a professional career in music, or play for yourself and friends, I believe that progress is what feeds our motivation and persistence, not just a song or a piece that initially inspires us. I find this to be the ultimate truth regarding anything we do, and there is no higher satisfaction than witnessing pushing your own limits to greatness! Teaching has given me the gratification to see the results of a student from my perspective, and help them with the techniques which helped me in the process. I worked for 3 years in a music school before my postgraduate studies in London, and my students won numerous prizes at international competitions.

I like to share my acquired knowledge and experiences with young and mature pianists who want to progress musically and wish to master technical impediments concerning practicing and performing on the piano. A student that likes to work and has dedication to improve, inspires me to bring out the best abilities in them. For those students I would usually start with the current repertoire they are playing, adding few less demanding pieces and increasing the difficulty level as the progress goes. Of course I'm very open to help my students play and master particular pieces they like, as I know this can be a huge motivational factor. Since I play different instruments and genres, I can tutor some non-classical repertoire as well, depending on the student's desires. Usually I don't teach mere beginners who haven't touched a piano before, but if a student is serious and ready to work and dedicate time, prepare for each lesson, I'm very happy to give it a go!
