About Debosmita
I'm a Master's student in Applied Computer Science at Concordia University, Montréal. I've always received good grades in Math and Science because they were my favorite subjects, and I'd love to help others fall in love with them, too! From middle school to university, I've tutored my fellow classmates in these and other subjects, so I have experience in teaching a wide variety of students. This has taught me to offer different approaches and methods of solving the same problem, letting the student pick the one they're most comfortable with. Everyone can understand any math or science concept, all that's needed is time, patience and practice. I would love to help you discover the fun in math and science! I am able to teach in English, Bengali and Hindi.

I always teach my students the basic concepts and underlying principles of a topic in a safe, encouraging environment where no question is dumb and no mistake is bad! I believe that these concepts and principles are the essential tools that my students can apply to solve any problem, and my job is to show them what each tool is, how it works and what it can be used for. I empower my students to understand the topic and think for themselves, not just to match the answer but to know WHY it's the answer. I adapt my approach to each student's learning abilities and pace, and take the time to review the material as many times as needed until my student is confident in their understanding.
