About Melo
I am an enthusiastic piano tutor with 7 years of experience and a proven track record of teaching around 300 students. My learners include teenagers, college students, and adults pursuing personal growth, exam preparation, or performance skills.
My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong technical foundations and fostering musical expression. I emphasise proper posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, rhythm, sight-reading, and music theory. I ensure that students understand how to interpret and emotionally connect with their pieces.
Lessons balance technical exercises, repertoire, and theory. Beginners build confidence through foundational exercises and simple pieces, while advanced students refine performance skills and tackle more complex compositions. Many students have achieved excellent results in graded examinations and performed confidently in recitals.
My mission is to help students become confident, expressive, and independent pianists who enjoy their musical journey.

My approach to teaching piano combines flexibility, positivity, collaboration, and adaptation to learning styles. I begin by understanding each student’s abilities and goals. Based on this, I design lessons that match their pace and preferred learning method.
I emphasise technical foundation, including finger strength, rhythm accuracy, scales, and dynamics. I also teach students how to practise effectively at home. If a student faces difficulty, I adjust my explanation and provide alternative exercises.
Collaboration is key in my teaching. I encourage open communication and allow students to share their musical interests. This keeps them motivated and engaged. A positive and encouraging atmosphere builds confidence and reduces performance anxiety.
Besides piano performance, I offer lessons in music theory, sight-reading, basic composition, and keyboard skills. These related subjects support overall musical growth and help students understand music deeply.
