About Dante
My name is Dante Harwood, I'm a student at East 15 Conservatoire and have been playing guitar my entire life. I was classically trained in Spanish guitar playing, and carry that influence onto my own compositions and teaching. I write songs and have performed at live events on multiple occasions. My goal is to show that guitar is a wonderful and incredibly fun pastime; not a chore. When I was younger, I viewed my guitar training as something that I had to do, rather than something I wanted to do - this is an attitude that I want to avoid at all costs. To do this, you must focus on what you want to do and what your own goals are. As someone who has been taught from a young age, I wish someone had this mentality with me, as I would have learnt much more effectively.

I believe that guitar is the perfect instrument for self-expression and that is the thing I want to foster through my teaching. I believe that many 'traditional' ways of teaching guitar can be old-fashioned and ill-fit for helping an artist grow; no matter what skill level you are, your individual voice and uniqueness are the most important things when it comes to music. I can teach all skill levels, and specialise myself in song-writing, finger-picking and improvisation.
