About Michael
With a rich background as a singer/songwriter and performer, I bring a wealth of experience from live performances and the recording studio. I’ve been a Vocal Coach for over 8 years, honing my skills in Speech Level Singing, and Estil Singing Technique (completed level 1 & 2 course). I’m a proud graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Jazz Voice performance. And I finished a one-year Rock and Pop Performance diploma from TechMusicSchools, further solidifying my expertise.

Hi, my name is Mike. I am dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. I tailor my approach to each student individually and work with people of all ages and experience levels, fostering a personal, caring and enjoyable learning environment. The typical lesson lasts an hour. During that time, I focus on breath work, anatomy and physiology of the voice. I teach vocal technique across genres, including Musical Theatre, Rock, Pop, and Folk Jazz. My passion for songwriting and composition is a driving force in my work. I love working with text to deliver heartfelt performances that deeply connect to the lyrics. This passion is something I bring to every lesson and performance, and I'm excited to share it with you. Thanks for popping onto my profile. The free lesson is a consultation lesson and it’s done online! I teach from my home studio in Stoke Newington or Soho (but the price for the lesson in Soho is 60 pounds). In case of lateness, the time will be lost. 24hrs cancellation policy applies.
Please note that I do not take students below 18 years of age.
I do not offer free trials, but a 30 mins consultation call as a chance to see whether I am a good fit to a student.

Perfect! Michael helped to diagnose what I was doing to strain my voice and helped me to release that so I could actually sing my song smoothly - all this in one hour! Perfect! Mike and I had a 30 minute online session ahead of a professional audition I had been called in for. His quick responses and flexibility was so appreciated seeing as my request was so last minute. The lesson itself did wonders for my voice. Mike’s attention to detail and knowledge of the voice was impeccable and he helped me completely transform my song. His style of teaching is so positive and encouraging which is something I really value in a teacher. Highly recommend Mike and will definitely work with him again in the future.

Michael is an amazing tutor. With a couple of tweaks, he made me sound better. He understands the voice and its workings and is able to explain it very well. Highly recommend him!

Mike is a very knowledgable and experienced singer and singing teacher. He is a calm and methodical teacher and has a very friendly character which is great to put you at ease and be able to relax in lessons. I felt like I was receiving tailored lessoned specifically to me and my goals rather than just working through a generic singing program.
Mike has a lot of experience also as a recording vocal teacher and was a great help working on my EP giving me vocal performance advice in the studio to get the best takes for my songs.
