About Jessie
I am a 3rd year student at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and my main subject is Jazz singing. Before I started at the Conservatory I completed an MBO music education. Besides singing lessons I also give theory lessons and guitar/piano lessons for beginners. Last year I started teaching and I love to passionately share my knowledge with my students.

In the past I have struggled to surrender to the concept of music theory and found it difficult to find the motivation to practice for singing lessons. When I got certain teachers I noticed how important it is to have a committed, passionate and good teacher. I have learned a lot from these teachers and this has motivated me to work hard and also to teach. It is very important to me to put feeling in music and to find your own voice. My lessons are also aimed at that, among other things. We are working on improving technique, text interpretation and creativity. I am patient and adapt to the student. After the introduction, I look at what method is appropriate and work with the student towards an end goal. The singing lessons are for everyone from young to old, amateur to pro. You are very welcome for any genre, but I specialize in pop / jazz / soul. The music theory, piano and guitar lessons are designed for beginners.
