About Anissa
Hello my name is Anissa Perales. I am 25 years old and am from the United States of America.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University in Human Development & Family Studies with a concentration in Child Development and Psychology, as well as a 140-hour TEFL certification with observed, in-classroom teaching experience.
I have worked in a daycare for 3 years while I was completing my education. I worked as a tutor/ mentor at an afterschool program for school- aged children. I’m also a Registered Behavioral Therapist for autistic children and other disabilities. I previously worked as a Child Care Investigator for the State of Texas responding to reports of abuse, neglect and exploitation in daycare facilities all across Texas.
I have also participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. There I was able to provide support, teach healthcare techniques and inform children on the importance of sports and exercise.
I teach because I believe I can positively impact children in a skill that would benefit them for the rest of their lives. I also want to support children in a more direct way.
