About Dylan
I am a professional copy editor for Penguin Publishing with a BA in communication with double minor in business admin and sociology. I proofread hundreds, if not thousands of pages per week and have been doing so for most of a decade now. I love teaching and explaining things and made quite a bit of side cash helping my fellow students write their essays back in the day. I might as well start again for extra work.

Typical lessons depend on the subject being addressed.
15-30 minute advising sessions are common for essay work. During which I will read through what you have written and offer advice and insight. I am quite skilled at turning a few sentences into a few pages (my actual job is doing the opposite after all) and can help you to form additional points and paragraphs out of your source material. I can help with the essay prep work as well. Such as brainstorming and outlines.
For more general English lessons I prefer a more standard memorization game-based lesson. Simply having someone to quiz you and help build tricks to remember more difficult words usually gets the job done.
I prefer to work with year 1-4 college students but also work with high school. It does seem silly to hire an English tutor to help you write a couple of paragraphs.
