About Kieran
I'm Kieran, a junior at Cornell majoring in Biology & Society. I've also played cello for 12 years and participated in various small chamber ensembles and orchestras. I have a passion for most of the natural sciences, especially biology and physics, and the social sciences, especially psychology and sociology. The most interesting sub-topic within my major to me is the interaction of social environment and neuroscience, which concerns how psychological conditions arise and are socially interpreted, how the brain and self construct themselves from experience, and how and why social, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional processes work within people and across them. I love all types of cello playing, but mostly have experience with Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and some 20th century and contemporary solo and orchestra pieces. I love tutoring both classes I recently took as well as those I haven't since high school, and look forward to working with a variety of students across many backgrounds, ages, class levels, subjects, and learning styles.

-Focus on a combination of deep & full conceptual understanding alongside practical fluency and problem-solving
