About Helga
You need a mentor who treats your career trajectory as a serious project rather than a classroom exercise. Teaching allows me to impart the discipline I gained through 13 years of industry work and a BSc Finance from The Wharton School.
I help 339 students navigate the nuances of CFA foundations and risk and return. Much of my time is spent demystifying corporate finance and the time value of money.
We also look at ratio analysis and financial statement analysis to ensure you understand the numbers. Mastering Excel for finance is where we usually start our technical work together. My approach remains grounded in the reality of your specific goals.

Many students get lost in the complexity of financial models and struggle to see the bigger picture. I admit that I often find standard textbooks rely too much on theory and ignore the messy nature of actual financial data. My sessions utilize the Excel for finance skills I have honed over 13 years to build custom tools for your projects. Every student receives a financial model template shared during our first meeting to serve as a baseline for future work.
You will learn how to apply ratio analysis and financial statement analysis to real company reports. Corporate finance logic starts to make sense when you see how risk and return impact actual stock valuations. This is about building the mechanics of the job. You will leave with a 10.0 point standard of accuracy and the tools to handle any interview problem.
