About Valeria
I have a master's degree in intellectual, cultural and visual history, which I studied in London. For the past five years, I have been teaching children, teenagers and adults, sharing with them the richness of the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures, such as Mexico. I am patient and creative in my teaching methods, and I want people to feel comfortable with a new language, finding points of interest that help them memorise and better apply what they have learned in class.

As a Spanish speaker living in an English-speaking country, I understand the differences between the two languages well and have observed the challenges, but also how much fun it can be for an English speaker to learn Spanish. In my lessons, you will learn grammar, pronunciation, and gossip in Spanish. Don't forget that the purpose of a language is to communicate so that we can tell each other stories! My teaching method includes the use of songs, teaching the structure of the language, and engaging my students with the application of words to real-life situations, whether for everyday or specific cases. My teaching style involves getting to know my students, listening to their goals and their reasons for learning what they want me to teach them, so that I can tailor the class in the most appropriate way. I want the class to be a space for reflection where students can reap the greatest possible benefits, because studying is not only about academic knowledge but also about developing different types of intelligence.
