I love math, sort of a math nerd. My goal is to clarify any topic by providing numerous examples and opportunities for understanding. I believe having a strong number sense is the key to all future math success. I begin each tutoring session with number sense activities. I then look at any notes provided by the teacher (to help with continuity). I work with the student or students to to review any specific questions they may have before walking them through examples that I provide. The lesson concludes with extension activities to ensure student understanding. If time allots, I ask students to summarize the lesson.
