About Thea
I’m a dedicated vocal tutor with over 3 years of teaching experience and a BM in Jazz Vocal Performance. I work with singers ranging from young students to professional performers. My lessons are designed to support growth in musical theater and Broadway performance.
I focus on helping singers connect with characters through expressive storytelling. We work on stage presence, belt technique, and developing the agility needed for fast musical transitions. Performance skills and vocal technique grow together in my lessons.
Musical understanding is a key foundation. I incorporate ear training, harmony practice, improvisation, and music theory to strengthen each singer’s musicianship. These tools help performers adapt confidently to different musical situations.

My teaching methodology combines strong vocal training with modern studio awareness. Lessons are tailored to help singers grow technically and creatively. Students from school programs, music colleges, and adult learning backgrounds are all supported.
Training begins with breath control, tone placement, and pitch accuracy. Vocal agility and belt technique are introduced carefully to maintain vocal health.
Ear training, harmony practice, improvisation, and music theory help students build deeper musical understanding. These skills make singing more intuitive.
I also focus on recording preparation. Students learn microphone technique and how to manage dynamics and expression while recording.
Studio etiquette is discussed so singers know how professional sessions operate. Vocal layering and harmony stacking techniques are practiced to enhance recordings.
Students also learn how reverb and delay effects influence vocal space and atmosphere. This helps them sing with awareness during recording.
The aim is to support serious vocal students in achieving a polished studio sound. Together we work toward recordings that sound clear and professional.
