About Emma
I am a Creative Writing & English Literature Student at York St John University. Recently, I edited and published an anthology of student works in a small team alongside my university. Previously, I have tutored three GCSE students alongside my A-Level studies. I received a 9 in English Language and an 8 in English Literature at GCSE and later achieved high passing grades at A-Level also.

I can give lessons to any student up to and including AS and A-Level. I'm very flexible and able to adapt to each student's particular needs. I find that the best way to teach is by using the sandwich method - starting the lesson with a small activity, followed by a main activity, and then something at the end to consolidate our knowledge and reflect. I may sometimes ask for some small preparations before our lessons, but it would never be too time-consuming. I am friendly, approachable and easy to work with. I'm fun, smiley and would be excited to assist you in your learning!
