About Miah
My name is Miah. I was born and raised in Toronto by my Latin American mom and Cajun dad. I grew up speaking French, English, and Spanish at home and consistently attended a French school for all my pre-university studies.
Currently, I am studying criminology at TMU in downtown Toronto, hoping to pursue a career in law. Law is my passion, and I aim to apply my studies to help people across the country.
I love tutoring because I understand both the struggle and enjoyment of schooling. With proper support, students can succeed. I want to bring the joy of gaining knowledge to others and believe everyone deserves to love school. Teaching kids is especially rewarding as they fearlessly share their opinions and develop their own thoughts based on information. Children's intelligence deserves more credit!

What sets me apart
I used to hate school, it was never a healthy working environment for me, which made suceeding hard. One of my teacher's took a chance on me and helped show me that there is nothing better then knowledge. Information and a gain of knowledge is important and everyone can find joy in school if supported properly. I am able to show kids that school is fun, gaining knowledge is not a chore, yet something to be proud of!
