About Ashlynn
Hi, I’m an enthusiastic student at Lee’s Summit West High School with a huge passion for crafting and creation! I have been crocheting for a long time and absolutely love turning a simple ball of yarn into beautiful, handmade items like clothing, blankets, and plushies. As a tutor, I am incredibly patient, encouraging, and focused on making learning fun. I know how confusing the basic stitches can feel at first, so I use clear, step-by-step guidance to ensure you feel confident and supported every step of the way. I love sharing this creative hobby with others in our Lee's Summit community and cannot wait to help you get started on your own crochet journey!

Learn the art of crochet with patient, one-on-one lessons tailored just for beginners! In our sessions, we will start completely from scratch. You will learn how to properly hold your crochet hook, manage yarn tension, and master foundational stitches like the chain stitch and single crochet. We will also practice how to count your stitches so your edges stay perfectly straight, and learn how to read simple patterns. By the end of our time together, you will have the confidence and skills needed to start your very first project, like a cozy winter scarf or a simple dishcloth. No prior experience is required, and all ages are welcome! If you would like to learn how to thread your sewing machine and all the sewing basics instead, let me know! I can also teach how to embroider with a brother machine!
