About Yvanka Maria
Bonjour! Guten Tag! My name is Yvanka and I'm a language teacher and polyglot. A native English speaker, I'm also fluent in French, German and Spanish and have dabbled in a few other languages. I hold several language certifications (DALF C2, Goethe Zertifikat B2). My love for languages and traveling led me to France and I began teaching in Alsace. I later moved back home and worked briefly as a translator before being drawn back to teaching. I offer classes in French and German. My focus is on student-led learning and I adapt the teaching process based on the student's needs and learning goals while also keeping in mind the CEFR guidelines. I'm an absolute bookworm and when I'm not teaching languages, I can be found curled up with a book! I also love writing and enjoy spending time working on my latest tales in English and French. I've published a couple of novels and novellas in English and one novella in French. I'm passionate about languages and teaching. I truly believe that learning a new language is a lot like setting off on a grand adventure as you never quite know where it will take you!

Bonjour! My name is Yvanka and I'm a language teacher and polyglot. Over the past years, I've taught over 500 students from more than seven countries. My focus is on student-led learning and I adapt the teaching process based on the students' needs and learning goals, while also keeping in mind the CEFR guidelines.
