My classes are not just lessons — they are a journey towards confidence, clarity, and real-world English usage.

I offer English classes for both school and college level learners (UG & PG), and bring over 11 years of teaching experience to the table. Each student is different — and so is my approach. I blend traditional methods with modern, student-centered techniques to create a rich and personalized learning environment.

I apply a mix of methods depending on your goal:

The Grammar Translation Method helps students dive deep into structure and literary texts

The Direct Method focuses on natural language acquisition through everyday conversation

The Inductive Method encourages students to discover rules and patterns by themselves — ideal for building critical thinking and independence

A typical class includes:
A quick warm-up and recap of previous learning

Step-by-step explanation of the day’s topic

Practice exercises(written/oral) with instant feedback

Short reflective tasks or Q&A to solidify understanding.

I prioritize clarity, confidence, and consistency. My goal is not just to teach but to help learners become independent thinkers, capable of using English with confidence in academic, social, and professional settings.

Whether you're a school student, a college learner, or preparing for exams like CTET/UGC-NET — my classes are designed to empower you.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

English has always been more than just a subject for me - it is a passion that touches the core of who I am. From a very young age, I found myself captivated by stories, poems, and novels. Whenever I read a piece of literature, I don't just read the words - I immerse myself in the emotions, the conflicts, and the psychological depth of the characters. This ability to feel the soul of a story and analyze it deeply is what drew me toward English.

Over time, this interest turned into a calling. I realized that literature is not just about reading; it's about understanding life, society, and the human experience. Teaching English allows me to share this understanding with others, helping students not just learn a language, but explore ideas, cultures, and emotions. What keeps me deeply connected to this subject is the beautiful sense of discovery and fulfillment I experience every time I help someone interpret a text in a new light.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

Back in my school days, my friends would often approach me for help with grammar exercises or literature assignments. I loved explaining concepts to them, and they appreciated the clarity and ease with which I taught. Their constant encouragement and trust in my ability made me realize that teaching comes naturally to me. It was their belief in my skills that inspired me to take up teaching as a profession. So yes, my friends have been the biggest motivation behind my journey as a teacher.
  • How does your work help society?

I believe education is one of the most powerful tools to uplift society. As an English teacher, my work goes beyond grammar and vocabulary - it's about building confidence, expression, and a voice. While working with an NGO during my internship, I had the opportunity to teach students in government schools. Many of them had never experienced interactive learning before. Seeing their enthusiasm grow and their results improve was a deeply rewarding experience. It reaffirmed my belief that even a single teacher can spark a lifelong change in a student's journey. Through education, I strive to make a small but meaningful difference in the world.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I think of my mother as my greatest role model. Not just because she's been teaching for over twenty years, but because she taught me that teaching is more than sharing knowledge - it's about shaping lives. I've seen her touch countless students' hearts with her patience, her clarity, and her kindness. Her unwavering dedication, even on her toughest days, showed me the true meaning of commitment. I try to carry forward that same spirit in my own journey as an educator.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

While teaching is my profession, learning and growth are a way of life for me. Outside the classroom, I find joy in writing - whether it's short reflections, poetry, or articles. Writing is where I reflect, recharge, and refine my thoughts. It keeps my expression clear and my communication strong - two qualities I bring to every class I teach.

I also enjoy outdoor activities like badminton and long walks, which help me stay active and refreshed. A healthy body supports a healthy mind, and I bring that energy into every lesson.

Above all, I love exploring new teaching strategies, reading educational books, and staying updated with how children learn best. Even my free time often turns into creative lesson planning! For me, teaching isn't just what I do - it's who I am.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

Over the years as an English teacher, I've had the privilege of working with many students, each with their own unique journey. One case that stands out is a high school student whose parents were extremely anxious about his academic performance. He had always focused more on Science and struggled to pass in English. With board exams approaching, the pressure was high, and the child lacked confidence in English.

I took it as a personal challenge to help him. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all method, I tailored my approach to suit his learning style, building his foundation step by step. We dedicated two hours daily, focusing on his weaker areas, improving not just his grammar and comprehension but also his confidence.

The result? He not only passed with ease but secured the second-highest marks in English in his class. It was a proud moment for the child, the parents, and for me as a teacher.

I strongly believe that with the right guidance, consistency, and a supportive environment, every student can excel-no matter where they start from. If you're looking for a teacher who is patient, experienced, and committed to your child's success, I'd be honored to guide them on their journey.
