About Hector
Having played my first game of Chess four and a half years ago, during my second year of University, I have come to be very passionate about it. I was surrounded by a friendship group who taught me the game and helped me progress to where I am today (1600 ELO). I have maintained these relationships and we still often play and help each other develop as players. For aspiring students who don't necessarily have similar friendship groups to lean on and develop their skills, or would benefit from tailored taught sessions, I would be privileged to coach you.

As an enthusiastic tutor focused on clear, approachable learning, my goal is to make chess fun, build your problem-solving habits, and help you make every move with purpose.
