With over 3 years of tutoring experience, I’ve helped students across all levels and exam boards not just succeed, but develop a genuine desire to learn. I focus on active recall techniques, which help students not only retain key information but truly understand it. My approach goes beyond just exam prep; I aim to make science engaging and foster a love for the subject, building both confidence and a lasting curiosity that will benefit students long after our lessons.
My lessons are specifically tailored for GCSE and A-Level students, ensuring they reach the exam hall confident in their ability.
A typical lesson involves discussing new ideas and concepts, using the digital whiteboard to visually support explanations, in a collaborative manner that encourages the student to use current knowledge to formulate a likely hypothesis for an outcome or process, before they are exposed to the answer as opposed to afterwards. This approach ensures lessons never become boring and too memorisation focused. Furthermore, the student will frequently work on exam questions and simple recall questions to ensure information is retained and understood.
