About Phillipa
My name is Phillipa and I am a current alevel student. My motivation to teach stems from having experience the effect an attentive teacher can have. I more than anyone understand what it’s like to be confused in a subject and not knowing where to even start. As a learner this can make you view learning as a chore or even punishment at some point. Seeing my students turn the complacency for education into a genuine love for learning (as I also once have) is something I would not pass up for anything.

Learning is just like legos in that it’s so important to perfect your foundation before advancing. This is why I like to take a holistic approach to tuition by getting to know the students learning style and tackling the gaps of knowledge they may not be able to spot themselves in class or private study. From prior experience I have realised this is the main cause of academic doubts and students exceed even their own expectations with enough of the right support.
