About Nick
I'm a Biomedical Engineering Student in Dundee with 5+ years of experience in academia up to and including degree level. I've not been tutoring formally very long, however I have been assisting classmates reach their potential for as long as I've been in education. I have a range of subjects (Biology, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Computer Programming, Electronics to name just a few!) under my belt given my unconventional route so can confidently convey everything from the basics right up to complex calculus and that's just in maths.

Ultimately the method of teaching depends on the student, everyone learns differently. My starting approach is to digest the learning outcomes of whatever module or course is being studied (or of course to create them), and from there split the subject matter into managable chunks to focus on in each session. As learning progresses barriers can be identified and given more weighting as needed. The key is successful communication between teacher and learner(s) and not too stuck in one method, adaptation is crucial.
