About Alexander
Hi,
My name is Alex and I am a 2019 HSC graduate, living in Sydney.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney. I am a Dalyell Scholar, recently just changing my degree from a Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Economics to the above mentioned.
As I mentioned I completed my HSC in 2019, with my best subjects in Advanced Mathematics, and Advanced English (high Band 6), as well as having an affinity towards Economics and was the recipient of the NSW All-Rounders award (Band 6 in all subjects).
I want to teach because I like the feeling of giving back, plus it allows me to improve my own understanding of topics I have previously viewed.

I completed my HSC in 2019, with my best subjects in Advanced Mathematics, and Advanced English (high Band 6), as well as having an affinity towards Economics and was the recipient of the NSW All-Rounders award (Band 6 in all subjects).
I have privately tutored for the last three years since my graduation in 2019. Personally, I feel I have a rather empathetic and understanding style of teaching, growing up with a sister who has a disability I think has aided me in this capacity.
Having tutored for the last 3 years however, has given me a wide range of experiences which allow me to tailor each session to the individual student, whether you're someone who needs an example to grasp a concept or someone who understands a topic through its theoretical outline.
Each lesson generally goes for 1 hour, although this can change depending on your preference.
As a tutor I will arrive prepared for each lesson and will answer any questions you may have. But this is what is expected from any tutor. I will also try to provide little tips and tricks, as well as perspective on your current situation to aid you in your study habits and your general schooling life, whether you be in Year 7 or year 12. I know when you are in the midst of the schooling grind one can get caught up in it and exams and marks can seem like a lot. As your tutor, and someone who has experienced this, I will be able to guide you through these experiences and hopefully make schooling as a whole, more enjoyable.
